Mango- the Real Yellow Paint

#day24 's prompt had me confused with the many fruits that I love, what's not to love about them? They are summery, tropical and are the coolest dudes. Here's my poem-

Mango is my favorite season,

a proud tropical offspring, the hue of

sunny and warm temperament

with a color named after

Synonymous for fun,

of childhood summers spent

climbing trees, slingshot lessons

and running around with mischief

Tender green, an aroma,

a sourness, that give life to senses

With a bit of Spice and salt

Zings you like a shot

Or pickled

by ginger, worn hands

it is an occasion to soak up the sun,

it is tradition, family

and it also is history

An innocent and harmless golden

when ripe, soft and pulpy

the right proportion of

sweet and sour that fills you,

that pulls you, to devour

without a care for the sticky

sweetness around your mouth,

the only way to eat it, adult or child

This is a portal to happiness,

this is the real yellow paint
